Amos Chanda mute on reports he wants to flee

Former Presidential press aide Amos Chanda has declined to comment on speculation that he is considering fleeing the country for fear of being prosecuted over alleged financial crimes.

During a media briefing to announce his resignation last Thursday, Mr. Chanda confirmed that he is among those mentioned in the Financial Intelligence Center (FIC) 2018 financing trends report.

But when contacted for a comment on speculation that he is considering fleeing the country, Mr. Chanda told Q-News that he presently has no comment to make on anything as he has taken a short break.

Mr. Chanda has also stated that he is now in the private sector after completing the formalities of handing over the office of Special Assistance to the President for Press and Public Relations.

He however, states that he maintains everything he said during the media briefing he held at State House to announce his resignation.
