An operation to remove needles embedded in the body of the three year old boy of Chipata, Richard Zulu, at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) is underway.
Richard was wheel chaired in the theater at the UTH’s radiography department at midday today Monday the 7th of January.
The boy is being operated upon by a team of local surgeons of various expertise.
Doctors are expected to give details of the surgery after the entire operation is done.
Three year old boy, who was found with needles and sharp wires in his body, was evacuated to the UTH on the 8th of December 2018 for specialized care and treatment.
