ZCTU wants dialogue process expedited

The Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) says there is need to expedite the dialogue process in view of the current political situation in the country.

ZCTU President Chishimba Nkole has since encouraged all stakeholders to participate actively and unconditionally in the dialogue process.

Mr Nkole has also welcomed the commitment by the Zambia Center for Interparty Dialogue (ZCID) to a peaceful resolution of the political situation in the country through an inclusive dialogue process.

He has told QTV news that it is crucial that all parties, especially President Edgar Lungu and UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema participate and reach an agreement that will ensure that political tension is diffused in the country.

Mr. Nkole has stressed that dialogue is the only viable solution towards a sustainable political settlement.
