Finnish govt commends Zambia for promoting regional integration

The Finnish Government has commended the Zambian government for promoting regional integration as the country embarks on the industrialization agenda.

The Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Secretary of State-Development Policy, Elina Kalkku encouraged the Zambian government to expand the market access for its products and services through promotion of regional integration.

Mrs Kalkku said this in Finland when she held a bilateral meeting with the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, and Industry Permanent Secretary, Kayula Siame.

She said the government of Finland is ready to [partner with Zambia and flag it as a new Finaland partner in terms of trade and investment.

And speaking at the same function, Mrs Siame called on Finland to share with the Zambian government and explain the difference financial instruments which the Finnish government is implementing in other Least Developed Countries to accelerate trade and investment.

She thanked the Finnish government for partnering with the Zambian government in forging industrialization and job creation.

Mrs Siame is in Finland leading a delegation comprising senior government officials, the Zambia Development Agency and representatives of the private to the bilateral and investment mission.
