SACCORD has high hopes in Steering Committee on dialogue

The Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) says members of the steering committee that will be constituted to spearhead the political dialogue process should strive not to serve political interests, but look at the future of the country.

Commonwealth Special Envoy to Zambia Professor Ibrahim Gambari has indicated that a steering committee consisting of eminent and respected Zambians will be announced on 26th March,2018 to lead and direct the dialogue process will be constituted.

SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Cheembe says would be members of this steering committee are expected to be objective, patriotic and professional as they discharge their important duties.

Mr. Cheembe tells QTV News that once sworn in, the members of the committed will also be expected to look at a bigger picture of the entire dialogue process and not serve interests of any particular political party.
