Zambia commemorate International Youth Day
Zambia has today joined the rest of the world in commemorating International Youth Day under the theme, “Leveraging opportunities for youth through Information and Communication Technologies”.
And New Congress Party President Peter Chanda has observed the need for all stakeholders to work together in creating employment opportunities for young people in the country.
Pastor Chanda has told journalists in Lusaka that as the young people celebrate their day, Youth Day, it is imperative that government, corporate entities, and other firms create more employment opportunities for young people in the country.
He says he is grateful that the government since 2016 in the health sector alone, has created over 10, 000 jobs for the youths saying such efforts are commendable.
Pastor Chanda says there is no need to attach emotions or politics when dealing with challenges affecting young people in the country adding that concerted efforts are needed to create more jobs for the young generation.
