National Housing Authority (NHA) workers have appealed to President Edgar Lungu to intervene in their delayed salaries.

The workers who have not received their salaries for almost a year now, have complained that it is clear that President Lungu is not given the correct information as to what is happening at NHA.

They have lamented that despite pronouncements by Housing and infrastructure development minister Ronald Chitotela that the head of state had directed the release of K40 million towards the payment of their salary arrears, nothing has happened.

They told QTV News that their lives have become miserable as a result of the nonpayment of their salaries

And Union Representative James Musukuma was booed by the protesting workers after he refused to talk to the QTV News crew referring all queries to the union Secretary General.

Meanwhile, as the QTV News crew tried to reach NHA Acting Chief Executive Officer Waicha Ndhlovu, she was quickly driven off.
