Matero residents bemoan poor sanitary condition

materoResidents of Lusaka’s Matero Township have turned their anger on Member of Parliament Lloyd Kaziya, accusing him of neglecting the community, and pointedly told him to resign.

The residents accused Mr. Kaziya of continuing to take them for granted.

The residents told q-news that they are unimpressed by the performance of the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), whom they believe has done very little to improve their situation.

They say since he was elected, the constituency still has bad roads and poor drainage system – things he promised to fix in the area.

Residents say their representative in parliament has been preoccupied with his personal activities, evincing no interest in resolving problems of their constituents.

They complained that they have not seen their Member of Parliament talking about the hardships facing the constituency since he was elected.
