The Lusaka High Court has sentenced Chilanga Member of Parliament Keith Mukata to death by hanging after finding him guilty of murder.
Mr Mukata and his co-accused Chairmaine Musonda who has since been acquitted stood charged with the murder of Namakambwa Kalilakwenda 63, a security guard from Men in Black Security Company who was shot dead while guarding AKM Legal Practitioners owned by the Chilanga MP.
Delivering judgment in the matter, High Court Judge Susan Wenjelani found Mr Mukata guilty of murder in line with section 200 of the penal code.
