Housing and Infrastructure Development Permanent Secretary Charles Mushota says government has released K10 million to repair damaged roads in all ten provinces.

Mr. Mushota says the money is meant to repair roads damaged by floods.

He has told Q-news that his ministry is also sourcing for more funds from the Ministry of Finance to ensure that all the roads and bridges washed away are rehabilitated.

Mr. Mushota says the country has been experiencing almost daily rainfall in some parts of the country which has caused damage to the road infrastructure.

Mr Mushota has since called on those entrusted with the funds for road maintenance in the provinces not to misapply the funds allocated.
