PF disowns tissue bearing president Lungus portrait

The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) has disowned images of toilet paper bearing President Edgar Lungu’s portrait circulating on social media.

PF media director Sunday Chanda says the images are malicious aimed at bringing the name of the President into disrepute.

He says party will not hesitate to report people circulating the images to the relevant investigative wings for defaming the President.

Mr. Chanda says the ruling party welcomes issue based politics and not politics of character assassination.

He has since advised members of the public to ignore the circulating images
