Third Liberation Movement president Enock Tonga has urged government to learn to consult before signing any Statutory Instruments to avoid creating confusion among Zambians.

Mr. Tonga says the recently signed Statutory Instrument number 10 of 2018 which is aimed at punishing any person found buying products from a street vendor should be re-visited

On 2nd February, 2018 Local Government Minister Vincent Mwale signed an SI number 10 of 2018 to amend penalties for 22 offences contained in Statutory Instrument number 54 of 1992 by increasing the penalty fees as well as introducing new offences which include throwing litter anyhow.

But Mr. Tonga has advised government to stop introducing laws that do not favour Zambians stressing that this move will cost them in the 2021.

He has also advised government to expedite the process of finding an alternative trading place for people who were removed from the streets.
