The opposition Movement for National Transformation (MNT) says there is need to develop a comprehensive inward-looking macro-economic policy plan that will shift Zambia from being dependent on foreign aid, to finding domestic solutions through aggressive industrialization and economic growth.

MNT Leader Daniel Shimunza tells QTV News that in order for the people of Zambia to benefit, there is also need to make the country competitive and comparative in the region and global community, by stimulating competitive foreign policy engagements.

He says this will make Zambia a global leader in all sectors such agriculture, energy, diplomacy, education, tourism among others.

M Shimunza states that no Zambian should be left behind in the development process.

He says he is concerned that the current government’s agenda is not prioritizing the vulnerable groups of people such youths, women, street kids, patients, prisoners, and the aged.
