Lungu advised to hire professionals

Political Scientist Dr. Alex Ng’oma has advised President Edgar Lungu to appoint qualified ministers who are equal to the task.

Dr. Ng’oma tells QTV News that it is important that next time the president reshuffles his cabinet; he does so according to one’s qualifications.

He says the nation cannot afford to have people appointed to key ministries without experience who then start to experiment while in office.

Dr Ng’oma adds that this is the more reason why some people fail to perform to the expectations of the people of Zambia.

And Governance Activist David Kapoma has expressed concern over the appointment of Margaret Mwanakatwe as Finance Minister, saying Felix Mutati was equal to the task.

Mr. Kapoma says such a key ministry needs to be occupied by someone who is equal to the task.
