Economic and Equity party President Chilufya Tayali says President Edgar Lungu should learn from political events in Zimbabwe and South Africa where the Heads of State have been forced to resign for failure to do the will of the people.
Mr Tayali says what has happened to former South African president Jacob Zuma is a lesson to leaders that power lies with the simple poor whom they ignore.
He says President Lungu should draw serious lessons from what happened to former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe and South Africa’s Jacob Zuma because Zambia has similar problems.
Mr Tayali says the PF of President Lungu is neglecting the poor by increasing the cost of living through the removal of subsidies when many Zambians have no meaningful sources of income.
