Political Scientist Zumani Zimba says the recent resignation of Harry Kalaba as Foreign Affairs Minister citing corruption in government should prompt President Edgar Lungu to put an end to all alleged practices of embezzlement as well as the looting of the national resources by civil servants.

In an interview with Q-News, Mr. Zimba says it is worrying that the Head of State is neither firing nor suspending ministers and permanent secretaries who are allegedly engaging in corruption.

He says it should worry the President to see one of his ministers resigning from government citing corruption.

Mr Zimba has since challenged President Lungu to fight corruption by firing ministers and permanent secretaries who are corrupt.
