Governance Activist David Kapoma accused the ruling Patriotic Front of embarking on a premature campaign at the expense of national development.

Mr. Kapoma says this shows that the ruling party is becoming insecure and feel they are losing popularity.

He says it’s only hoped that the ruling party is not using tax payers’ money to conduct premature campaigns.

But PF Media Director Sunday Chanda says panic and fear have gripped the opposition and some sections of the media following the launch of the 2018 Party Mobilization Programme targeting all Patriotic Front structures across the country.

Mr. Chanda says no accused the UPND of campaigning when it embarked on the card renewal exercise.

He explains that the on-going Party mobilization programme is aimed at reinvigorating party structures across the country as the PF remains Zambia’s vehicle for improved service delivery and development.
