A team of medical doctors at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) is currently operating on the eight months old Siamese twins of Kawambwa District who are attached on the abdomen.
The twins Mapalo and Bupe were handed over to the team of 30 doctors led by Doctor Bruce Vulani at 09:00 hours this morning.
Giving an update on the operation, UTH surgeon registrar Dr Seith Kalota said the duration of the operation which started around 11:00 hours is not yet known.
Dr Kalota has called for prayers and best wishes from members of the public as the doctors undertake the operation.
And father to the twins Moses Bwalya is hoping for the best to come out of the long awaited operation.
He says they have put everythin in God’s hands.
