The Ministry of Health says it has in the last 24 hours recorded 32 new cholera cases in Lusaka and 22 cases outside Lusaka.

Ministry of health Permanent Secretary for Administration Dr Kennedy Malama has told a media briefing that no cholera related death has been recorded for in the last 48 hours.

He says the new cases have been recorded in Matero with 13 cases,George compound 7,Kanyama 5,Chawama 3,with Lusaka West ad Ng’ombe recording one cases each.

Dr Malama says other areas that have recorded one case each are Zingalume,Kasupe and Makeni Volla.

He adds that of the 22 cases recorded outside Lusaka, Lundazi has recorded the highest number with 14 cases.

Dr Kennedy Malama has further stated that since the Cholera outbreak in October last year, the ministry has recorded 3, 620 cases with a total of 73 deaths.
