Lungu is Part of Corruption-Kambwili

Kambwili seriousFirst Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Namugala today curtailed Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili’s debate on the Anti Corruption Commission’s budgetary allocation after he said that President Edgar Lungu is not fighting corruption but is part of the corruption.

In his debate before he was curtailed, Mr Kambwili said the amount of corruption allegedly taking place in the PF government is unprecedented.

He says the corruption going on in government can be seen even by a little child, yet the Anti Corruption Commission is asking for evidence.

Mr Kambwili says the country is being run by alleged plunderers who have no shame.

He has challenged the Anti Corruption to do the job for which they were established by an Act of parliament not be used to settle scores.

And contributing to the same debate, Monze central Member of Parliament Jack Mwiimbu said the people of Zambia are disappointed in the Anti Corruption Commission accusing the Commission of aiding and abetting corruption in the country.

He says the people of Zambia have complained pertaining to a number of corruption allegations, but that the ACC’s response has been that evidence be produced.

Mr Mwiimbu says it is up to the ACC to investigate the allegations and not the people of Zambia to investigate, produce evidence and give the evidence to the commission.

And Higher Education Minister Professor Nkandu Luo says the continued labeling of Ministers as corrupt has left the real corrupt individuals celebrating.

She says instead of being objective in addressing corruption, people who have old scores to settle are abusing Parliament to do so.
