The ministerial committee spearheading the rebuilding of the gutted Lusaka city market has continued to receive overwhelming support, with the lions club of Kabulonga district 413 and guardian insurance brokers limited donating two cheques worth k20, 000.

Receiving the cheques at her office, vice-president Inonge Wina has commended Zambians that have stepped and contributed monies and materials towards the rebuilding of the gutted Lusaka city market.

Ms Wina, who is committee chairperson, says the donation will go a long way in boosting efforts of the working group which has been mandated to undertake the reconstruction of the market.

The vice president says the size of donation does not matter stressing that what matters is the rising to the occasion and helping fellow Zambians that are in need.

Speaking when he presented the two cheques, guardian insurance brokers chairman Hastings Chiti has assured the vice president that the lions club members are ready to help with the hands on cleaning up of the gutted market should need arise.
