Govt committed to increase investment in economic multi facility zones.

Government has emphasized the need for increased investment in rural areas and in economic multi facility zones.

Commerce, trade and industry minister Margaret Mwanakatwe says government has pumped in a lot of money and resources in improving road infrastructure in rural areas in order to encourage investment from the private sectors.

Ms Mwanakatwe adds that government has also set aside 100 hectares of land in each province for agricultural production.

The Minister said this when the visiting delegation from Morocco headed by that country’s foreign affairs minister paid a courtesy call on her to see which areas are available for investment in Zambia, and to also follow up on bilateral meetings President Edgar Lungu and King Mohammed of Morocco had when he visited the country early this year.
