Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama says Lions from neighboring Zimbabwe have invaded the district killing three animals so far in Kambila and Syamwiinga villages in Chief Simamba’s chiefdom.
Mr. Kanyama says the Lions are suspected to have escaped from a game reserve in Zimbabwe.
He says Department of National Parks and Wildlife officers are already on the ground trying to truck down the lions that are threatening human lives.
Mr. Kanyama has since advised the general public in the district to avoid moving in isolation especially at the night.
