Zambia’s High Commissioner Extra – Ordinary and Plenipotentiary to Singapore Judith Kapijimpanga has presented her credentials to the President of Singapore Tony Yam.

Mrs. Kapijimpanga has also held closed door talks with the Singaporean President after inspecting a military guard mounted in her honor.

The High Commissioner has since invited the President of Singapore to visit his Zambian counterpart, President Edgar Lungu, to strengthen bilateral ties especially that Zambia was the second Country in the world to recognise Singapore as a sovereign state when it got its independence in 1965.

Mrs. Kapijimpanga has called on the President of Singapore to help facilitate the resuscitation of the Zambia- Singapore Joint Permanent Commission- JPC to enhance bilateral trade in various fields.

She has further urged Singapore to assist Zambia with technology in the area of water and sanitation especially harvesting rain water.

The High Commissioner has applauded the cordial relations with Singapore which are both former British colonies, members of the Commonwealth and the Non Aligned Movement.

She says Singapore has served as a shining example through its political and economic stability in South East Asia region.
