Tolerance & dialogue key to Africa’s conflict resolution – Lungu

EL NANAPresident Edgar Lungu says Africa can only resolve conflict and inequality if there is tolerance, dialogue and willingness to co-exist.

Speaking at the state banquet hosted in honour of his visiting Ghanaian counterpart Nana Akufo-Addo at State house last evening, President Lungu says for Africa to fully resolve the question of peace and development, there is need to comprehensively address conflicts and inequalities.

He adds that Zambia and Ghana, and the whole continent must remain united as they strive towards greater economic emancipation.

President Lungu reaffirmed the Zambian government’s commitment to further consolidate relations and cooperation with Ghana at both bilateral and multilateral level, for the mutual benefit of the two countries, people and the continent.

He said it was pleasing to note that the two countries have made commendable strides in establishing innovative programmes aimed at adding value to local products.

President Lungu pointed out that the theme for this year’s Zambia International Trade Fair “Innovation for Industrialisation”, which Mr Akufo-Addo will officially open tomorrow is in line with the common aspirations that Ghana and Zambia share, of achieving a higher economic growth for the betterment of the people of the two countries.
