Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn

Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn is expected in the country for a three day state visit.

Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba has told Journalists in Lusaka that Mr. Desalegn will arrive in the country on Wednesday 28th March, 2017 and will leave on Friday.

Mr. Kalaba says government will discuss with the Ethiopian Prime Minister many issues including the promotion of trade between the two countries.

Mr. Kalaba says the intentions of President Edgar Lungu and his Ethiopian counterpart Mulatu Teshome is to follow the footsteps of the founding fathers Dr. Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia and his Ethiopian counterpart Haile Selassie in trading more between the two countries.

He says the Zambian government will also try to persuade the Ethiopian Prime Minister over the possibility of opening a mission in Zambia.
