The opposition United Progressive People (UPP) Leader Dr. Savior Chishimba says he is in receipt of a credible report of corruption at the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) involving close to K100 million.

Dr. Chishimba in a statement to QTV News, alleges that a named Procurement Officer at NAPSA has connived with a named senior State House official and a son of a leader in government to award a contract to a Chinese company in respect of the building of a records facility worth about K100 million.

Dr. Chishimba says apparently, the named son of a leader has become notorious for his involvement in many other corrupt deals that UPP is fully aware of, with evidence.

He notes that the deal was being advanced by taking advantage of the absence of the Director General who recently had an international engagement.

He has therefore urged the Director General of NAPSA to immediately intervene and stop this obnoxious deal.

He is appalled that the same Chinese company is dubiously involved in many government contracts adding that this has resulted in denying many Zambian companies an opportunity to do business with government.

The UPP President has since given NAPSA up to close of business on Monday, March 27, 2017 to issue a comprehensive statement on this matter failure to do so will leave with no option, but to name all the individuals who are part of this scandal.
