Lungu praised for giving direction on GBV

Advocacy Against Child Abuse and Gender Based Violence has been praised President Edgar Lungu for providing direction and leadership in curbing Gender Based Violence related cases in the country.

Executive Director Bellion Chola has also welcomed the President’s stance calling for effective management on the production and sale of alcohol, noting that this is a source of most GBV cases.

Mr Chola says the Head of State’s stance on GBV as contained in his state of the nation address is inspiring, and hopes the pronouncements will be accompanied by action.

He states that this is what the nation needs if cases of GBV are to reduce.
