Sing’ombe is lying – Govt

Government has refuted claims by Dundumwezi Constituency Member of Parliament Edgar Sing’ombe that it is punishing the people in his constituency by denying them development.

Southern Province Minister Dr Edify Hamukale says government attaches great importance to the development of Dundumwezi Constituency just like any other part of the country.

Mr. Hamukale says government has planned major projects in Dudumwenzi which will soon get underway.

He has since called on the area Member of Parliament to work with government by informing his office of the developmental needs of the constituency.

The Provincial Minister says Kalomo District under which Dundumwezi falls under has been funded for projects like roads and health infrastructure.

He states that government is alive to the challenges the area is faced with such as inadequate schools which are scattered apart and the poor mobile network.
