ZESCO Limited has dismissed social media reports suggesting that the country will experience a total blackout for three days this month to pave way for routine maintenance.

ZESCO National Spokesperson Henry Kapata has described the memo circulating on social media as fake and misleading.
Mr. Kapata says to the contrary, the power utility is in fact stabilizing in terms of load shedding.
He says people should ignore the information about a total blackout as it is not coming from ZESCO.
Mr Kapata has described the people behind the memo as alarmists who should not be taken seriously.
He states that ZESCO posts formal communications on the company’s official website.
