Fisheries and Livestock Minister Michael Katambo
Government says it will terminate construction contracts of dip tanks and office building awarded to local contractors doing shoddy works.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister Michael Katambo sounded the warning in Ikelenge district when he toured the construction of an office building.
Mr. Katambo says he is not happy with the works and took to task the local contractor to explain why such poor workmanship when government has paid him already.
The minister says government will not tolerate such contractors but to terminate contracts with them for failure to meet the standards expected.
Meanwhile, Mr. Katambo has expressed sadness at the dilapidation of various fish bleeding centers and research stations in the region.
Mr. Katambo who visited some bleeding stations and fish ponds in Mwinilunga district yesterday said his ministry will start all over again to ensure that the aqua sector is revamped.
