High cases of GBV in Zambia irks local GBV NGO

Advocacy against Child Abuse and Gender Based Violence has expressed concern over the 2.4 percent increase in Gender Based Violence cases recorded in 2016 as revealed by the Zambia Police Service.

Advocacy Executive Director Bellion Chola feels these statistics are a sign that the nation still has a long way to go in curbing this negative vice.

Mr Chola has since called on all stakeholders to step up efforts and join hands in the fight against GBV.

He says there is need for more effort towards eliminating Gender Based Violence and other forms of violence against women, men and children.
