The Small Scale Farmers Development Agency (SAFADA) says there is need to train farmers on how to best use the resources earned from their produce.
SAFADA Director Boyd Moobwe says many farmers lack information on financial management and end up misusing their income.
Mr. Moobwe says some farmers make a lot of money which if properly used can help grow their farming.
He says farmers need to know how to budget their money citing that this will also help in reducing them to depend so much on donor or government for financial help.
Mr. Moobwe has since appealed to relevant stakeholders to come up with financial education programmes for the farmers.
