It is too early to question 2017 job creation target- State House

State House says it is too early for anyone to question whether or not government’s promise to create 100, 000 jobs this year will be attainable.

The President’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda has wondered why this promise by government can questioned a month into the 2017 financial year.

Mr. Chanda has told Qfm News in an interview that State House finds it strange that in the second month of the year some people in the Country would think the promise to create 100, 000 this year has been broken.

He states  that State House does not think fears of failure to create such a huge number of jobs can arise at such an early stage.

Mr. Chanda states that the government has a mandate of a period of five years and therefore job creation should be looked at comprehensively.

He says people in the Country should be thus be assured that they will be updated with details on promises for job creation in each year from the measures being taken in various sectors.
