United Progressive People (UPP) president Saviour Chishimba has charged that poor Zambians will bear the burden of draconian economic policies which the ruling Patriotic Front thought will be convenient implementing after the August 11 elections.
Dr Chishimba says it is unfortunate that leaders change and begin to do things that hurt those who vote for them shortly after winning elections.
He notes that it is not too long ago when the people of Zambia went to the polls, and are already being subjected to a high cost of living through increased prices of basic commodities.
Dr. Chishimba states that it is only fair to say that the ruling PF took the Zambian people for a bumpy ride.
He adds that the people are now realizing that they were cheated during the campaigns.
Dr Chishimba says what Zambia needs is to see change from the punishing outrage of poverty to a better life.
