Ahead of their Group B, 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Cameroon, Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda says he wants a scouting department.

Th Chipolopolo mentor was in charge of the previous encounter against Nigeria as they lost 2-1 at home.

However, the former national team striker believes the team needs a scouting department to enable him to see players plying their trade overseas.

Nyirenda said merely watching the players on television and getting information from their clubs was not sufficient.

“We are trying so hard to get information on what some players are doing outside and we are seeing some of them on TV,” said Nyirenda.

“It is something tricky, we need a scouting department in the system, people that can travel to see these players.

“When I am free, it’s better I travel to see these players for myself.”

Meanwhile, local national team players have started preparations for their World Cup Qualifier match against the Indomitable Lions on November 12.

Although team manager, Stanley Kaseko says players will regroup on Sunday for camp ahead of next month’s clash, some of the players have been released to compete in the club’s league competition.
