Sinkamba asks Lungu to reconcile with HH

Green Party President Peter Sinkamba has encouraged President Edgar Lungu to have courage and take practical and honest steps aimed at reconciling with UPND President Hakainde Hichilema.

In his Independence Day message to President Lungu, Mr. Sinkamba says there is need for the two leaders to reconcile.

Mr. Sinkamba says the President should also extend this reconciliation to Mr. Hichilema’s followers within the rank and file, particularly those in incarcerated in prisons.

Mr. Sinkamba says the strong bond of friendship and unity of purpose among the people since independence is a point of pride for all Zambians.

He says the peace and unity of purpose exhibited following divisive elections held on August 11, which ushered him into office, is yet the latest testimony to the people’s commitment to peace and stability in the Nation.
