Lungu urged to outline his fight against corruption

President Edgar Lungu has been urged to outline measures his government has put in place to fight corruption during his address to Parliament.

President Edgar Lungu is tomorrow, Friday, 30th September expected to officially the National Assembly.

Transparent International Zambia (TIZ) Executive Director Goodwell Lungu is urging President Lungu to show commitment to the fight against corruption.

And Mr. Lungu says President Lungu should tell the nation how he intends to promote good governance.

He adds that the President should also highlight how his government intends to eradicate poverty.

And Private Sector Development Association (PSDA) Chairperson Yusuf Dodia says the president should highlight measures the government intends to put in place to stop the kwacha from further depreciating in order to restore the economy to a sound balance.

Meanwhile some Lusaka Residents have called on President Lungu to announce further measures to deal with the many challenges facing the country especially unemployment and corruption.
