The Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR) says the planning and budgeting Bill should be presented to Parliament during its sitting which officially opens on Friday, 30th September.

CSPR Executive Director Patrick Nshindano says the bill once enacted into law will guide in allocating the budgetary threshold and will also determine the distributing mechanism.

He notes that the bill will also help in holding leaders accountable especially those managing resources.

Mr. Nshindano says the bill should not only be tabled in Parliament, but should be passed as it is very critical to the budgeting process.

He notes that the bill has been on the table for a long time and it is about time that it is passed.
