People’ Party President Mike Mulongoti says former Ministers should to stop finding excuses for them to pay back the money they illegally got when they served as Ministers after Parliament was dissolved.
Mr. Mulongoti says the former ministers should acknowledge that they made a mistake than starting quarrelling over the issue.
He says no excuse will stop the ex-ministers from paying back the money stressing that Zambians are not asking them to pay what they did not draw from the Treasury.
Mr. Mulongoti says the money that the former Ministers owe belongs to the Zambian people and therefore must be paid back in accordance with Constitutional Court ruling.
He wonders why the Ministers are trying to be difficult for nothing when they know exactly that they were in the office illegally.
