Economist Analyst Noel Nkhoma has attributed the improved performance of kwacha currency against other major convertibles currencies on the international market to the deployment of aggressive monetary policy by the Bank of Zambia (BOZ).

He says other drivers which have improved the performance of kwacha on the international market include the fact that the country has remained a destination for foreign investment despite the current political situation.

In an interview with Qfm News Mr. Nkhoma notes that the foreign investment amid the country’s current political situation has been maintained, a development which has enhanced Kwacha performance on the market.

He has however, appealed to the BOZ to continue reducing liquidity on the market and inflation rate.
