Agriculture Minister Given Lubinda
Government says it has adequately addressed all the challenges encountered during the implementation of the electronic voucher system last year.
Agriculture Minister Given Lubinda says government has increased the number of participating banks from two to five this year.
Mr. Lubinda adds that districts that already have supporting infrastructure such as good road network, banking facilities and agro dealers so as to minimize challenges during the 2016/17 farming season.
He states that the banks have since assured his ministry that they will deliver the cards on time.
The Agriculture Minister has since encouraged farmers to make their contributions to their respective banks so that the money can be loaded onto the cards on time for them to purchase the inputs.
