TIZ disappointed parties are buying votes

Transparent International Zambia (TIZ) has expressed disappointment that some politicians have resorted to buying voter’s cards ahead of the elections.

TIZ Executive Director Goodwell Lungu says such acts have the potential to disfranchise people of their rights to vote in the forthcoming elections.

He says all candidates should utilize the remaining time before the elections to convince the people about what they will do for them if they are elected in office instead of resorting to buying voter’s cards.

Mr Lungu adds that candidates should not underhand methods when soliciting for votes.
