The Football Association of Zambia has suspended the entire under-17 Zambia national soccer team technical bench led by Osward Mutapa following the disqualification of the team from the ongoing COSAFA under-17 tournament in Mauritius for age cheating.
FAZ Secretary General Ponga Liwewe has told a media briefing in Lusaka today that the move to suspend the technical bench is to allow for investigations in the matter.
Liwewe adds that FAZ will seek clarification on the process and methodology used in testing the two players namely Nicholas Mulilo and Benjamin Phiri who were found to be overage after a Magnetic Resonance Image MRI test carried out under the supervision of a CAF doctor.
