The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) says it has cleared the backlog of 90,000 driver’s licenses which had been pending from last year.

RTSA Senior Public Relations Manager Fredrick Mubanga tells QTV News that the agency has successfully completed the printing of the licenses and are ready for collection.

And Mr. Mubanga says the print on demand system for driver’s licenses will be launched soon.

He says everything is in place and that the agency is only waiting for approval from the Ministry of Transport and Communications to okay the new features of the licenses before being launched.

Mr Mubanga explains that new system will see drivers issued with driver’s licenses upon passing driving tests.
