The first batch of ballot papers for the August 11th elections has been dispatched to the Airport in Dubai in readiness for onwards delivery to Zambia.

This follows the completion of the printing process.

A total of seven trailers containing the ballot papers were dispatched to the airport this morning witnessed by political party representatives among other stakeholders.

ECZ Elections Manager Winner Mwanamonga told the stakeholders in Dubai that more deliveries to the airport warehouse of the remaining ballot papers will be made tomorrow.

Meanwhile the Electoral Commission of Zambia has condemned the incident on Friday where a PF campaign helicopter flew above a UPND rally in Chawama constituency.

Commission Public Relations Manager Crispin Akufuna has since called on all political parties to respect each other’s campaign activities.

Mr. Akufuna says every political party has a right to hold their campaign rallies freely without any hindrance.
