Dr Simutanyi notes that Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces might not record significant changes in the manner they voted during the 2015 presidential election.

He tells QFM News that if the results of the 2015 presidential election reflected the mood of the electorate, there is a possibility that opposition has a better assessment now.

Dr Simutanyi says this means that the votes the ruling party got in the 2015 elections will reduce owing to the current factors.

Dr Simutanyi, however, maintains that the ruling PF and opposition UPND are the only two parties that can win the forthcoming elections in the first round.

He says this especially if the third placed political party fails to get 10 percent of the votes.
