Mutati led MMD gets tough on Nevers Mumba

The MMD faction led by Felix Mutati has cautioned faction leader Dr. Nevers Mumba against tarnishing the name of the party by claiming that they are in an alliance with the opposition UPND.

The party says Dr. Mumba does not hold any position in the former ruling party and therefore he should stop masquerading as MMD President.

MMD Faction National Secretary Raphael Nakachinda has since advised MMD leaders at various levels not to be deceived and hoodwinked into believing that Dr. Mumba is still the president of the party as portrayed by some sections of the media.

Mr. Nakachinda says the legitimate leadership of the party under Mr. Mutati has fulfilled the statutory requirement of changing office bearers at the registrar of societies and is in firm control of the affairs of the party.

He has advised the members that Dr. Mumba is simply an imposter masquerading as president of the party.

Mr. Nakachinda says Dr. Mumba expelled himself from the party the day he joined UPND and thus should be treated as an extra ordinary member of the UPND.
