UPND President Hakainde Hichilema addressing a rally in Kabwe

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema has bemoaned the high levels of unemployment in Kabwe due to lack of industries in the area when it is supposed to be an industry hub owing to its geographical location.

The UPND Leader said this during a rally in Kabwe where he also took time to explain the UPND’s 10 Point Plan.

Mr. Hichilema says he is already in talks with credible investors that are willing to set up various value addition industries in the area as well as reopen the Mulungushi Textile industry that can also save farmers around the country through the cotton industry.

He reiterates his desire to diversify the economy through the agriculture sector by lowering the cost fertiliser and provision of more support to farmers such as increasing the fertiliser support programme.

And the UPND Leader says his party will deliver development to all the provinces when voted into power after the August 11th general elections.

Mr. Hichilema says the PF has failed to rule the country hence the need for people to vote for the UPND during the August polls.

He has called on Zambians to unite and work together in order to develop the country.

And Mr. Hichilema’s running mate, Geoffrey Mwamba has called on Kabwe residents to vote for Mr. Hichilema saying he is the only person who can solve the country’s economic challenges.

He says UPND will create jobs for the youths of Kabwe and the other parts of the country.

Meanwhile MMD faction leader Dr. Nevers Mumba says MMD is not working with the PF.

He says the only party that the MMD has gone into an alliance with, is the UPND.
