Shamenda tips casual workers

Labour Minister Fackson Shamenda has encouraged casual workers in the country to report to his office as government banned casualization in the country.

In January this year, government made a landmark commitment to end casualization as President Edgar Lungu assented to the revised employment act to ban casualization and unjustified termination of employment.

Mr. Shamenda says it is unfortunate that some people are complaining of being employed as casual workers when it was banned in the country.

He says Zambians should not relent but take a step of reporting such employers to his office as they will be dealt with accordingly.
